About Us

Peter Lane

peter-lanePeter is a semi-retired geologist living on a farm in Margaret River with his wife and extended family. As a dedicated environmentalist he has focused mainly on saving our native forests and protecting wetlands through responsible management of ground water.

Peter wrote and published "The Geology of Western Australia's National Parks".

Since hanging up his windsurfer at the youthful age of 67 Peter has taken up the less demanding sport of cross country mountain biking, he is an enthusiastic cyclist and although he refuses to jump, loves his mountain bike.

Having completed several races and tours Peter reckons he knows what makes for an enjoyable bike trip. Good tracks, good food, good company and no head winds.

Paul Lane

paul-lanePaul lives and works from the family farm with his partner Claudia and young son Ike. When not windsurfing Paul is busy cross training on his mountain bike.

With Peter he has spent many years exploring and linking up the concealed tracks in the area.

Paul has done many tours at home and abroad and is keenly aware of the connection between cycling and appetite. Mapping out the most scenic route through the region while still crossing paths with the cafés and wineries has been one of his special cartographic responsibilities.
